Paravani Lake is the largest in Georgia, located at an altitude of 2,073 meters above sea level. There are mountains behind the lake (Abul-Samsari Range) and this creates a wonderful scenery. The place is very lonely - road, grasslands, lake, mountains, huge space, so be sure to visit this place.
A few years ago a 4,000-year-old burial mound was found in the lake. Despite the small depth of the lake (about 3 meters), the water is pretty muddy, so it is difficult to dig at the bottom.
Getting there: The lake is located near the road Tbilisi - Bogdanovka. This road also leads to Akhaltsikhe and Vardzia.
