Fougeres

Fougeres is an ancient town in Brittany, typical example of a fortified town. It has nothing to do with the glass of the same name. You don't need a map, everything interesting is located around the millennial castle. There are few tourists, free parking is near the western wall.

The town has an interesting layout. The castle is located in a depression and all the hills around offer beautiful views. Usually castles are located on the hills.






Therefore, going up, do not miss the opportunity to visit few viewing platforms.

There are several half-timbered streets. In general, we recommend this cozy and nice town.
