One of the newest parks of Crimea, Paradise, is located in the "Aivazovskoye" resort. It was founded in 1964-1966 on the place of former vineyards. However, not everything has been changed. For example, you can find an olive grove in the park, aged over 200 years. Since 2003, new renovation has started. This renovation is based on myths, legends and historical facts associated with this place.
Nowadays (2013) the park is not finished yet. In addition to ready-made compositions, you can see workers that continue to expand the park area. The park is located on the slopes, and after passing it all you will need to go up to the entrance which is not so easy. We drove back on a golf car for 10 UAH ($1), but spent about 40 minutes in a queue!
One of the park's features is that the trees are not planted alone, but in groups. So over time some parts of the the park turned into a forest. Many of them were imported from other continents, for example, palm trees. Park entrance fee is quite high as for the park - about $8. There are guided tours for groups.
Getting there: By minibus from Yalta bus station to Partenit, you need the "Ayvazovskoye Resort" bus stop. Taxi from Yalta costs 120-150 UAH. You can ask for a stop on the Yalta - Alushta highway next to the turn to Ayvazovskoe, then you'll have to walk about 1.5 km. There's a lot of transport on the highway: both Crimean trolleybus and different minibuses between Yalta and Alushta.
