It seems that there's nothing to do and see in Kherson - many people use this city as a transit point on the way to the sea - but a walk with a local resident revealed a lot of interesting things. Romantic semi-abandoned buildings co-exist with the modern ones, architecture is sometimes fascinating, and there's a lot of parks. Besides, the Dnipro waterfront and the pedestrian Suvorov Street are very nice places to walk.
Getting there: By night train from Kyiv. Also in Kyiv you can book seats in comfortable buses of the Gunsel carrier. The buses leave from the central bus station (Demiyivska metro station).
