Light and Music Fountain "Roshen" in Vinnytsia

September 4, 2011 turned a new page in the touristic history of Vinnytsia. Almost in the downtown, on the waterfront which now has the name "Roshen", a large light and music fountain was opened. According to official information, it is the largest fountain of such type in Europe.

The waterfront was reconstructed, lights and seats for the viewers were installed. The fountain works during the day, but without any special effects.

There are very few such large fountains in the world. There should be a very special place for the fountain of this type. Waterfront near the Roshen confectionery factory is a perfect place.

Despite the fact that the fountain was opened less than a year ago, almost all travel agencies have included it into their routes. And not only the ones from Ukraine. We noticed large buses with children from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland near the old Soviet-style hotel next to the fountain.

Don't trust the fountain timetable in the Internet, just come in the evening. On May 5, 2012 the fountain began the light music show at 9 pm and finished at 9:50 pm.

We arrived at 7:40 pm and there was almost no people, so we chose the best place in the very center of the waterfront. But at 9 pm the waterfront became crowded. So if you want to make beautiful photos or shoot videos, come in advance.

In winter the fountain is submerged under the water.

Number of people attending the fontain insreased. Last time (May 2012) it was not a problem to come before the performance even a tripod, but now look at the number of people in 2 hours! before the beginning.


Before people looked at fontain, now they look into displays :)


Getting there: The fountain is located in the Vinnytsia downtown. You can get to Vinnytsia from Kyiv by express train. You'll be in Vinnytsia within 3 hours.
