On the way from the Dead Sea to Mount Nebo there is an area with a gravitational anomaly (gravity hill). For example, cars here roll up, not down.
An unprepared tourist can think about a deposit of magnetic ore. Of course it is ridiculous, but most have heard since childhood that the magnet attracts iron. This theory is easy to crash by pouring some water on the road - it will flow up the road.
There's about 40 such places in the world (list) and in the Internet you can find various articles with possible solutions. The main and most popular version is optical illusion. They say the road is actually going down. Even scientists stick to this version. As a rule, almost all abnormal areas are in the mountains, and because of uneven surface you cannot determine the horizon. However, in Jordan the gravity hill is located near the sea and it's pretty easy to see that the road really goes up.
Last check option is a modern GPS which shows the height above sea level. You can try to walk from one end of the road to another and measure the height. If you manage to do it, please let us know.
Getting there: Unfortunately, we have no exact coordinates. The site is on the mountain road between Mount Nebo and the Jesus Christ's baptism site. The length of the area is about 500 meters, it is smooth and the Dead Sea view opens from there.

I have researched the ley lines here in Scotland for the past 40 years. These leys are lines of ancient sacred sites with energy flowing between them from two or more volcanic plugs. The “Elecric Brae” is in a line of FOUR such volcanic plugs: Slemish in N. Ireland, Ailsa Craig, an island of the west coast of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle and Calton Hill, with another volcanic island to the N.E. called “The Isle of May” See my website for more info on Ley Lines: www.ley-man.space Perhaps this is the cause of the optical illusion?
